Vanesa Lobato Rubio studied Computer Engineering in the University of Oviedo (Asturias), obtaining her PhD degree in 2008. She was working on IT R&D activities in the industrial sector for seven years. She joint to the R&D department of CTIC Technology Center in 2005, as Manager of the Research Unit called 4U. Since then, she has been involved in R&D projects related to the Information and Communication Technologies sector.

She has published several scientific and technical publications and she has also been participating in multidisciplinary forums and working groups of technological platforms. She combines her research work with teaching activities in postgraduate courses at the University of Oviedo. The research Unit coordinated by her in CTIC is focused on smart environments and e-Health & well-being, mainly related to software architectures, data modeling and contextual information management, interaction people-technology and usability evaluation of ICT tools.

Esther Moreno Martínez has a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, major in Telematics since 2006, and a Master Degree in Engineering Systems and Services for the Information Society (MISSSI) since 2010, both from Technical University of Madrid. She has been part of the Research Group T>SIC since 2005. Her work inside the group is carried out in the field of the Telemedicine, e-health, e-inclusion through the development of different projects.

She has participated in several national and European projects. She is an expert in creating user experience for people with disabilities and elderly, with expertise in user interaction and interface design, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, design for all and assistive technologies.
